Working behind the scenes at some of the nation’s largest corporations, EHS technicians ensure companies comply with regulations, advocate for environmental policies, and protect workers’ health and safety. While each company is different, EHS technicians are often called upon to collect and analyze data, conduct research and coordinate programs that reduce company loss and liability.
Qualifications: EHS technicians are good communicators, innovative, and have excellent interpersonal skills. They also have a strong knowledge of environmental regulations and practices.
Education: Employers require a high school diploma or equivalent for entry-level positions. Some employers require a 4-year degree in engineering or sciences.
