WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Chet Thompson, President & CEO of The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM), released the following statement on the joint proposal by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to revise 2021 – 2026 fuel economy standards

WASHINGTON, D.C. – “It’s shameful that Administrator Pruitt and Secretary Perdue are considering recommending to the President that he renege on his promise to find a ‘win-win’ solution to the RFS that works for farmers, refinery workers and, most importantly, consumers. 

As we head into the Memorial Day weekend, a lot of attention is being paid to the price of gasoline. This is no surprise since over 36 million travelers are expected to hit the roads across the country this weekend - at a time when prices for the crude oil used to make fuels are climbing.
