American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) is the leading trade association representing the makers of the fuels that keep us moving and the petrochemicals that are the building blocks for modern life. Our industries make life better, safer, healthier, and most of all, possible.

We make the fuels that power the trucks, planes and vans that get millions of people to work and to school each day and enable next day delivery. We make the petrochemicals that go into literally thousands of products likes plastics, computers and medical equipment.

Over three million jobs in 33 states are supported by 117 refineries and over 230 petrochemical facilities. Together, these industries add nearly $600 billion to the U.S. economy each year.

America’s fuel and petrochemical manufacturers make many things, but above all, we make progress.
