AFPM exists to serve its members and to act as the voice of the fuel and petrochemical industries in Washington and across the United States. In addition to our members, another group fundamental to advancing our mission is our employees. AFPM understands the importance of fostering an innovative, collaborative, and inclusive work environment to attract highly committed and qualified talent, and we were recently recognized by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) as one of the “Best Manufacturing Associations to Work For.”

NAM "Best Manufacturing Association" award

AFPM employees represent a variety of backgrounds and experiences – ranging from engineers and former refinery workers, to industry analysts, meeting planners and accomplished legal experts, to former White House and congressional staff. Our organization has more than doubled in size over the past two years, growing to a staff of more than 60 team members. This includes numerous employees who have served at AFPM for five, 10 and even more than 20 years, and who are a testament to the strong internal culture that begins at the very top of the organization.

AFPM’s partnerships with local non-profits, flexible work scheduling, and perks ranging from gym access to AFPM-sponsored social activities help enable a positive work-life balance and are part of what make a career at AFPM rewarding and fulfilling.

NAM’s “Best Manufacturing Associations to Work For” award recognizes organizations setting the highest standards for the business advocacy community and that have demonstrated a commitment to building inclusive and engaging workplaces. We are proud to receive this recognition from NAM and remain dedicated to fostering an exciting and collaborative environment that provides opportunities for our team members to make the most out of their careers.
