WASHINGTON, D.C. – AFPM released the following statement in response to the Senate's passage yesterday of S. 1982, the Save Our Seas Act 2.0:

“We commend the Senate and Congress for working together in a bipartisan fashion to pass this legislation, which will play an important role in mitigating plastic waste in marine environments. AFPM believes in the importance of finding solutions to properly manage global plastic waste and is committed to engaging with policymakers and all stakeholders to develop sound plastic waste policy.”
