WASHINGTON, D.C. – Below is a joint statement by AFPM and other groups on the House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure’s passage of the Water Resources Development Act of 2020.

"Now more than ever, it's important to invest in our nation's ports and waterways and create shovel-ready projects that can provide middle class-sustaining jobs and help rebuild our economy. Over 40 percent of American foreign trade takes place through maritime infrastructure, and Congress has an obligation to pass this bill this year and help modernize our ports and waterways to ensure their continued safe, reliable and environmentally responsible operation across the country. We look forward to working with the full committee and the House to ensure passage of a WRDA bill that achieves these goals."
