Technology - Cybersecurity Policy in the Evolving Threat Landscape
This session will focus on existing and potential threats to information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) systems, including ransomware, and what policy makers, regulators, and AFPM members can do to make these systems more secure from cyberattacks. We will look at how cyber threats have increased as technology advancements improve operational efficiency, and how the private sector can work with federal partners to ensure cybersecurity policy is crafted in a way that is flexible, non-prescriptive, and allows for industry to adequately respond to the evolving threat landscape.
