The presenters will examine the driving forces behind renewable transportation fuels, the process to produce them - from the feed tanks to final finished fuel - and the improvements that can be made to lower CI ScoreCarbon Intensity. Regulations and incentives to lower the carbon intensity of fuels continues to become more prominent and stringent every year. Processing and blending renewable fuels makes sense economically and environmentally but can present operational challenges. This session will dig deeper into how renewable fuel producers can tackle these operational challenges within various areas of the process value chain to maximize profitability.
Join AFPM CEO Chet Thompson and CEOs of leading petrochemical companies to discuss the most pressing issues facing the petrochemical industry. Topics will include sustainability, ESG, market opportunities, and challenges facing the industry in 2022 and beyond.
Join this panel discussion to gain insight on the petrochemical industry’s pursuit of a sustainable future and how we’re creating a circular economy for our products. This session includes discussions of the value of our products, efforts to operate more sustainably including reducing emissions and plastic waste, and other sustainability initiatives consistent with AFPM’s sustainability pillars (environmental stewardship; health and safety; thriving people and communities; and driving progress).
The nation’s midstream sector – the integrated system of pipelines, railroads, ports, waterways, roads and storage facilities – is the backbone of the petrochemical supply chain. Recent events have highlighted the importance of midstream issues to our industry and how new legislation and policy could have a drastic impact on midstream sector in the future. In this panel discussion, hear the latest issues and opportunities from industry leaders in our energy supply chain.
In recent years, investors have been strategically investing their money in step with evolving value statements. This panel will discuss what ESG is, why it matters, how it is driving business decisions, and strategies to report and address ESG issues. Join investor relations experts, ESG standards board representatives, and leading ESG consultants as they discuss the future of ESG.
