We are producing petroleum products in the current environment in which emissions reduction is demanded amidst rising consumer demand. The panel discussion will focus on safe operation and optimization of process fired heaters, including limitations with existing technologies to reduce emissions, and challenges with emerging technologies, e.g., hydrogen firing and electrification.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) President and CEO Chet Thompson issued the following statement commending Virginia’s decision not to implement California’s looming ban on gasoline and diesel vehicles.
AFPM recently participated in the fourth session of the United Nations’ (“UN”) negotiations for a global plastics agreement in Ottawa, Canada (INC-4). AFPM supports the UN’s ambition to eliminate additional plastic pollution. To get there, we need to accelerate a circular economy where plastic is sustainably reused or recycled instead of discarded, enabled by a global agreement that unlocks industry innovation and global investment in plastics circularity and waste management.
