The Associate, Safety Programs provides administrative support, including committee meeting logistics, conference coordination, and other organizational support duties for the Director, Safety Programs.
Responsibilities
Supports assigned committees and events by:
- facilitating logistics, and organizing correspondence and reports for Safety & Health, Immersive Learning Committees and Regional Networks.
- supports conference speaker management for Safety Conference and Workshops
- Responds in a timely manner to routine requests for information on programs, conferences, meetings, and other pertinent business when relevant.
- Posts committee documents, maintains committee calendars and rosters, and maintains any relevant online resources, updates and changes, on the AFPM web site.
- Provides research and support for departmental projects, conferences, and other initiatives.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Two to four years of administrative support experience in a similar environment; trade association experience a plus.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; proficiency in association management software and applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, teamwork skills and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational and administrative skills.
