 The United States has an abundant supply of oil, natural gas and other energy resources under our feet and off our shores — more than just about any country on Earth.

In recent years, new and environmentally friendly technologies have been developed that allow increased production from this treasure trove of energy resources. These technologies enable the extraction of oil from oil sands and of oil and natural gas from shale.

From the Atlantic to the Gulf of Mexico and to the Pacific there are numerous opportunities to increase our nation’s energy supply and decrease our reliance on foreign supplies. AFPM strongly supports further development of our nation's natural resources including Marcellus and Utica Shale in the Mid-Atlantic states, the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas, and untapped oil and natural gas fields in Alaska and the continental United States.
