Current Regulations: The West Virginia Division of Labor, Weights and Measures Section, enforces motor fuel quality regulations in NIST Handbook 130which mentions the most recent version of ASTM D 4814 for gasoline in section 2.1.1. and states in section 2.2 that diesel fuel shall meet the most recent version of ASTM D 975. See WV Code Section 47-1-11.

The WV Commissioner of Labor issued an Administrative Order dated December 10, 2004, which announced that the new ASTM diesel lubricity standard will not be enforced until July 1, 2005. 

In a multi-state letter dated 8/31/17, to address a fuel supply emergency caused by Hurricane Harvey, EPA allowed 11.5 psi RVP gasoline throughout the state through September 15.  

Legislature: Senate Bill 441 was introduced in Feb. 2000 and would ban MTBE in gasoline.
